During the first year of hiding, the eighth member joined the two families in hiding, Mr Dussel. Him and Anne slept in the same room while Margot was moved into her parent’s room. The bathroom had nothing except for a small sink. On the second floor there is another flight of stairs, which brings up to the where the Van Daans lived. It was a very spacious room, which was very bright, compared to down stairs. It contained a sink and a gas cooker. This room was made into the kitchen and bedroom for Mr and Mrs Van Daan.
