Describe My Neighborhood


Growing up in a neighborhood such as mine can be rather boring yet fun at the same time. There were many clicks growing up in my neighborhood. The streets were separated rich from poor.


Clematona was the name of the neighborhood I grew up in. A lot of the time I had a lot of fun. In a way my neighborhood was like an old western town from the 1800s because it was a small town and every one knew each other. Since there was not much to do, we were forced to occupy our selves. The neighborhood kids would all get together some how and play games such as spotlight superman and jailbreak. When we played games like this it made us feel like superheros. We would run through people’s yards uninvited trying to capture each other just like Spiderman soaring through the sky from building to building. Other times the neighborhood was like a graveyard waiting for something to happen but nothing comes along to make the dead feel alive. It was mostly quite, especially during the weekdays. Time during the weekdays was so slow but before you knew it it was the weekend.


In my neighborhood there were many clicks. These clicks were not divided into ages. They were separated in good, bad and neutral. The bad click would walk around in groups terrorize people and cause lots of destruction. They were like a pack of wolfs running through the woods in a hunt for food and shelter. Parents called this crowd the “Get the kids and bring them in FAST.” There was the good click which mostly did fun things such as yard work, fishing, building tree houses and things were they did not get in trouble. The neutral usually does what ever his/her friend does or who ever they are with. In my neighborhood there did not seem to be enough room for all these clicks. It seemed like you needed to be in the click in order to be liked. What was wrong with my neighborhood? When I see kids now I can get an idea of what their future holds for them. I can tell just from what ended up being with people in my neighborhood. All the bad kids grew up doing drugs and being in and out of jail. When I see these kids they called disrupted, I feel bad for them. Even though there didn’t seem to be enough room for all these clicks in one neighborhood, we all seemed to live our lives around each other.


Do my coursework


There are thirteen streets were I grew up. These streets represented money or lack of. The streets really told you how the people were that lived on them. It is a separation of like Camden, Blackwood and Cherry Hill. Camden was a small part of the right side of the neighborhood, something like three streets. Naturally the people who lived on those streets weren’t real nice people nor were they very clean. On the left side was Cherry Hill type of people. These people were wealthier and had nicer things such as cars, yards and bigger houses. In the middle of all that was were I lived. The people there weren’t high or low class, they just were what they were. The middle of the neighborhood was a lot larger then the two sides. Those people never acted as if they were better than or less than.


My neighborhood growing up was different day by day. I never knew what was going to happen. As life moves on so does my neighborhood and the people that were once there.
